S = 1 + 2 + 4 + 8 + 16 + 32 + ... (अनंतापर्यंत)
2S = 2 + 4 + 8 + 16 + 32 + ...
2S + 1 = S
म्हणजेच S = -1 आहे.

Nice...:)
ReplyDeleteNice...:)
ReplyDeletehaha .... inf+1=inf => inf=1
ReplyDeleteThodi gadbad zaliy ka ya equation madhe? ;)
DeleteHow about multiplying by 4,8... :-P
ReplyDeleteThe above multipliers also results in same but not convinced yet..how can positive numbers sum wud result a negative value.. Will take this up with u Snehal.. Offline..
ReplyDeleteSure Shashi.. would love to discuss this. :)
DeleteI agree with Shashikant. S is infinity. So if you multiply by 2 it should give infinity=infinity. or 2*inf+1=inf which means the same.
ReplyDeleteI think I didn't get your argument. So what is your conclusion and where is the loophole?
DeleteThis one is answer to my confusion... Loophole.. Fooling around.. :-P
DeleteYou are applying finite series sum it an infinite series! Fooling around?
ReplyDelete:D I am not. I posted it for fun. Good that several people quickly saw the loophole.
DeleteThat's funny-ing around
ReplyDeleteThat's funny-ing around
ReplyDeleteInfinity -infinity= -1: This is impossible. You can't apply laws of finite numbers to infinity 😆
ReplyDeleteRight. This was for fun! :)
